Can we stop pretending that rebooting our favorite 90’s shows and movies are a good thing? I get it, the nostalgia is a big feeling of “reliving” our childhood but the reboots are usually short lived and fall short from what we remember from our memories. I just heard the news of a Captain Planet movie being planned. I was a huge Captain Planet fan….when I was 6 years old. I get taking classics and telling the story to a whole new generation but can we just take a lesson from massive nostalgic flops like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles & Power Rangers reboot movies? Leave the legendary movies and TV shows in the past. They had their time to shine and faded in legend where our memories of “back in the day” are most likely bigger than the moments we actually lived through. So lets leave our favorite memories in the past and tell our children of the legend of Captain Planets, Turtles and Rangers and maybe up the game on original ideas instead of rehashing the same stories over again at the box office!
