Chick-fil-A on Oleander Drive has joined the effort to raise funds for the family of WPD Sergeant Joseph “Jody” McPherson.
On Thursday, January 14, 2010, Chick-fil-A on Oleander donated15% of all proceeds the McPherson family fund.

Jody McPherson died on December 21, 2009. Even though he was still receiving treatment, he returned to work several months ago after surgery for a brain tumor. He fought valiantly throughout his illness. Immediately after his death, his colleagues and friends established a college savings fund for his 2-year-old twin boys, Jacob and Joseph.

Chick-fil-A approached the WPD Recreation Association, generously offering to host “Sergeant Joseph “Jody” McPherson Fundraiser Night.” The event directly benefited the family fund.
